Rachel Baran, farmer, florist, and owner of Sun Dragon Flower Farm, started her journey in 2018 on a tenth of an acre with the simple goal of growing flowers and a vegetable garden. As her flowers flourished, she found herself with an abundance of blooms, sparking an opportunity to transform her hobby into a business. Alongside managing her farm, Rachel taught herself the art of floral design, using the farm-to-table flowers she grew with organic, low-till, and regenerative methods. Over the past year, Rachel welcomed her first year-round employee, and the farm continues to grow, both in blooms and business.
